Polyacrylamide for short PAM. Usually acrylamide monomer head - to - end bonding polymer, at room temperature as a hard glassy solid. As a result of different production methods, the product has white powder, translucent beads and flake, etc. Density 1.302g/cm3(23℃), vitrification temperature 153℃, softening temperature 210℃. It has good thermal stability. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is clear and transparent, its viscosity with the increase of polymer molecular weight obviously viscous, and with the change of polymer concentration in a logarithmic increase or decrease relationship. Except for a few solvents such as acetic acid, acrylic acid, chloroacetic acid, ethylene glycol, glycerin and formamide, it is generally insoluble in organic solvent Chemicalbook. By acrylamide monomer free radical polymerization, can be used in solution polymerization, inverse emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization and solid polymerization several methods. Application

1.It is used as flocculant in water treatment industry. It is also used for the removal of non-dispersible low solid mud in petroleum geological drilling.

2.Sedimentation agent (sugar aid) in sugar industry; Film former.

3.Used as flocculant of water-based drilling fluid, it can improve rheological property of drilling fluid and reduce friction.

4.Used as soil modifier, flocculant, and can be used for textile sizing and paper reinforcement.

6.Used as oil field mud treatment agent, sewage treatment agent, and used for textile sizing, paper reinforcement.

7.Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer, and has valuable properties such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance reduction and dispersion.
